Twenty nine years research experience on Plant Pathology topics on different crops. World first with the isolation and identification of the “Black Goo” disease on grapevine.

Twenty one scientific publications in local and international Journals a well as thirty popular publications in local journals. Presentation of thirty lectures at national and international congresses as well as numerous lectures at farmers days. Invited to California and Australia to present lectures and workshops on isolation techniques and research done in South Afica on “Black Goo”

Fundamental knowledge of insect and nematode control due to his close collaboration with researchers in these fields while at the Plant Protection section of the ARC at Potchefstroom and Nietvoorbij, Stellenbosch.
